Special Children's Christmas Party Hobart

Charity Supported:
Event Description:
For more than 20 years, SCCP have held Christmas events across Australia for babies and children up to 12 years. These children may be suffering from life threatening illnesses, physical or intellectual impairments, domestic violence, or living in underprivileged circumstances. They are personally invited through charities, women's refuges, schools, special schools, government and community organisations. The goal of this party is simple: to put smiles on these children's faces by providing entertainment including amusement rides, face painting, craft and a host of other activities. The children receive free ice creams, drinks, lollies, fruit and lunch. There is a 4 hour stage show including an appearance from Santa, and each child receives 2 high quality toys plus a show bag full of goodies. Members of D’Qar Outpost, 501st Legion Thylacine Squad, and the R2 Builder’s club worked together to provide an area with coloring and activity books, backdrops for fun photo opportunities, and displays with working astromech droids, costume props, and Legion information, as well as circled the entertainment centre floor, mingling with the crowd.
