Yuri's Night

All proceeds go to support space outreach and education efforts that merge art, science and exploration. Yuri's Night is an all-volunteer run 501c3, non profit organization. The event was a fundraising gala: Yuri’s Night is a worldwide celebration of humanity’s achievements in and exploration of space, with hundreds of events held on every continent and even onboard the International Space Station. The Los Angeles Yuri’s Night event will, as it has the last few years, take place at the California Science Center, with interactive exhibits around the museum and the main dance floor literally underneath the space shuttle Endeavour. This year, some of our guests of honor include Italian Apollo 9 Astronaut Rusty Schweickart, Private Space Explorer Anousheh Ansari, Serial Space Entrepreneur Peter Diamandis, Plus special Star Trek Guests Walter Koenig & Chase Masterson and MC/Comedian Gray Bright. We would love to have the Rebel Legion and 501st’s finest, including the elite troopers of the First Order, provide an honor guard for our guests of honor, as well as keep a watchful eye over the space shuttle to make sure it doesn’t fall into Resistance hands. We’d also love to have an R2 unit or two on hand to provide additional atmosphere and photo opportunities for our guests (and maybe even a BB-8, if we can find one available!).
